“Feminine Shadow”

“A lifelong subconscious dream.”

LIGHTING | COMPOSITING | LAYOUT | SHADING

This piece tells the story of Lenny, who’s yearning for something that he doesn’t know he’s missing, while his feminine shadow, Lynn, is vibrant and beautiful, waiting for the right time to show herself.

To support this personal story, I experimented with using color symbolically, as well as explored new methods in compositing to simulate lens characteristics like flares and vignetted softness.

Responsible for all aspects besides: Character rigs by Josh Sobel. Other models & textures provided in class & downloaded from online.

Software used: Autodesk Maya, Chaos Group’s V-Ray, The Foundry’s Nuke, DaVinci Resolve
